How does the ER-ITN Access Program Work?

Vehicle Placard

The ER-ITN Access Program supports reentry access in Mississippi and Louisiana. This reentry access is determined by a Vehicle Placard which the program provides to registered and enrolled organizations. The Vehicle Placard's can either be displayed through a mobile device or on the dashboard of a vehicle at a reentry checkpoint.

REENTRY TIERS

Reentry access is separated into four tiers: Tier ER, Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. These tiers are established by the local Emergency Manager for a specific county or parish and represent various degrees of restricted access. The highest Tier ER represents the most restrictive tier, followed by Tier 1, 2, and 3.

LETTER OF ACCESS

The Letter of Access is a reentry document generated at the same time as the Vehicle Placard. This document displays the same reentry access information in different format. The Letter of Access is a suitable substitute for a Vehicle Placard but is generally used for very unique situations in the reentry access process.
